We need to teach behaviour change in schools. Our educational output does not fit the crisis. Kids need to learn skills to survive, greater resilience, build knowledge and critical thinking. Jobs must change - you can’t transition rapidly if you don’t have people with the right skills - from high tech - to regenerative ag including urban and peri-urban. Look back and learn from history: in the 17th urban ag was HUGE! In Nottingham the east side of the city was orchards and market gardens with the whole periphery enclosed by dwellings and businesses. Garden Cities design of 19th/early 20th century by Ebenezer Howard - everyone should read his book. Look back at how we fed ourselves at hyperlocal level in the past, couple with modern tech and be adaptive and flexible. Revalue urban land for liveability in the future, immerse built environment in edible urban landscape powered by circular local food system. So much knowledge is here right now but we must rapidly transit. Education is the key, action is the remedy
