Yesterday, the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Draft Law on Information Security, which envisages improving the regulatory framework (harmonization with the #NIS2 European Directive) to follow modern trends and ensure the safe use of ICT systems. 💫 We are very proud that this law, in addition to aligning with the NIS2 regulation, has gone further regarding equality. 💫 💃 Last Saturday, twenty-two women from Serbia confidently completed a five-day Cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Training Programme and proudly received their certificates. 👏 🥳 CONGRATULATIONS 🥳 💫Their achievement marks a significant milestone in enhancing cybersecurity expertise in the region.💫 This program is part of the Western Balkans Cyber Threats and Resilience Project, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and implemented by TAG International and DAI UK in collaboration with Women4Cyber Serbia (W4C Serbia). This training aims to empower women to incorporate GRC responsibilities into their current or future roles in critical infrastructure, academia, local government, or civil society. The training contained five modules: #Foundations of Cyber Security and GRC  #Governance and Policy #Risk and Compliance Management #Tools, Inclusion, and Project Integration #Compliance strategies, crisis management, and presentation of the final paper We truly owe a deep sense of gratitude for all that we have received to Scarlett Gearey (who drove this event to success), Neil Williams and Geni Johnson (who strongly support Scarlett on this journey), David Dowse (without whom this initiative would not exist), Mina T., Jelena Bratić, Dr. Milena Nikolic and Sanja Kekic (inspiring trainers who conveyed their knowledge and experience engagingly and practically - their commitment to share knowledge and experience with participants significantly impacted this journey). 🙏 🌸 ❤️ Great thanks to Belma Ohranovic from Women4Cyber Bosnia and Herzegovina (who prepared material for the last module Cybersecurity Crisis Management Session) and our #W4C regional inspiring trainers Andreja Mihailovic, PhD (president of Women4Cyber Montenegro - delivered #NIS2 session ), Ljubica (Pendaroska) Krstevska (president of Women4Cyber North Macedonia - delivered #GDPR session) and Branko Džakula and Srdjan Rajcevic(our unconditional supporters - delivered #CybersecurityCrisisManagament session) for make training last module incredible!
