"NVIDIA has a rich company culture that encourages intellectual and professional growth. I have been lucky to plant roots here and receive the nurturing I’ve needed to develop strong ideas and a wide array of skills. I started with NVIDIA as an intern in the summer of 2019, pre-pandemic. I was able to ask my questions in person, get a feel for life in the Austin office, and develop good working relationships with my manager and coworkers. The following summer, when I returned as a full-time employee, the pandemic was in full force. It was then that I was able to witness the compassion of NVIDIA – to a degree that surprised me from such a large company. NVIDIA’s leaders have made every effort to make us comfortable and successful in such a trying time. I am incredibly grateful for their support.
I’m also incredibly thankful for the energy NVIDIA has put into supporting my growth. The one lesson that has stuck out to me over the last couple of years correlates strongly with one of our core values. When I talk to students interested in pursuing a position with NVIDIA, I encourage them to embody “Intellectual Honesty.” The bar is high at NVIDIA. In the face of so much excellence and forward motion, it is easy to feel as if you are “drinking from a fire hose” of information (a favorite quote from my onboarding period). It is important to remember that confidence in what you know, and what you are skilled in, is just as valuable as honesty about where you are weak and need assistance. Managing expectations for both yourself and those you work with is critical to success in the workplace. Even though Intellectual Honesty is a pillar specific to NVIDIA, I truly believe that this mindset is a catalyst for meaningful growth at any company or in any position."
