You Must Be Hungry!

 

In this article I am not talking just about food, I am talking about your drive and desire. You Must Be Hungry is about what it takes to push forward when you are up and when you are down but especially when you are down.

Hungry?

When you are hungry for food, you go and take care of it. Literally, you stop your day and go grab some lunch. At that moment many of us don’t think about our jobs, our bills, or virtually anything except getting something to eat.

So being hungry drives you to a point. If you are hungry enough, you will eat things you normally don’t like. Things like Farina (I was poor growing up and had to eat that, it’s awful, who can eat that stuff!). In fact, if starving, people will eat their own shoes to stay alive, pretty tragic, especially in a world where we throw away billions of tons of food that can go to those that don’t have any.

What About Your Business?

Is your business hungry? Are you hungry for more business, more sales, more profit? Are you hungry enough to do what it takes to go out and get the business?

Many say they are, but few truly are. Everyone wants to be wealthy, but few will do what it takes to get there. I am not talking about neglecting your family or your health and I am not talking about breaking the law or even getting close.

In his excellent book “You’ve Got To Be Hungry,” Best Seller and #1 Motivational Speaker, Les Brown talks about what drove him. The pain he had to endure to push him to the top. The obstacles, the hardships and more. If he could do it so can you, IF, you are hungry enough.

What Am I Talking About?

I am talking about all the people that I see that quit when they don’t get their way as soon as they try. Salespeople, sales managers, businesspeople, business owners, etc.

Statistics show that over 80% of salespeople quit after the first attempt, the first attempt! Let that sink in if you are paying salespeople to go out and find more business. I am going to make it hurt even more – most sales don’t take place until the 5th or 6th attempt or longer!

 

Great News!

If you are a salesperson or someone who is relying on or paying salespeople, your competition is knocking themselves out and making it easier for you!  

Bad News!

Most of those salespeople that are quitting work for you – ouch!

Let’s Ask Again

Are you hungry? Are you hungry enough to change things? Are you hungry enough to learn how to do this right? To knock your competition out of the game permanently? There is a way to do it and you can learn how very quickly.

Warning

This takes work. It takes staying on top of things, following them up on a regular basis. All the things no one wants to do. But that is part of the strategy, they will quit but you won’t. You will be the shining star you always believed you could be, if you just knew how.

Conclusion

You can do this, but you must be hungry! Hungry enough to learn how to master this. Hungry enough to do the things that others won’t. Hungry enough to invest in yourself. Hungry enough to overcome all the obstacles life has thrown at you, stay the course and succeed, you can do it!
