Over the past 9 months, with Dr. Jon Bailey's support and input, we have invested thousands of hours to gather the data needed to understand the landscape of Private Equity in the field of behavior analysis. As ABA organizations continue to be in high demand among PE firms looking to get into the field, and PE-backed mega ABA platform companies aggressively executing on their ultimate goal to become behemoths in our field, questions among the remaining privately owned independent ABA agencies, particularly those owned by BCBAs committed to ETHICAL practice, continue to be the following: (1) As an independent ABA agency, how do I continue to compete with organizations with millions of dollars in backing? (2) If I sell my agency to a PE or PE-backed organization, what does this mean to our customers, both short-term and long-term?
