We’re Hiring: Why BECU is Recruiting for 50 Positions in IT This Quarter
Technology is changing at a rapid pace, including the way we live, work and interact with each other. Here at BECU, a member-owned credit union, technology is advancing our ability to improve the financial well-being of our members and their communities, and helping us better meet their evolving needs.
Over the past few years, BECU has been on an ambitious digital transformation as Washington’s largest credit union. We are investing in our employees, our systems and our processes. Our Information Technology (IT) division has grown tremendously and now we’re looking to add even more people to the team.
Now through early September, BECU is recruiting for 50 net new positions in a variety of IT roles, from system engineers and architects to software developers and business analysts. These employees will enhance the safety and security of our members’ assets and accounts through supporting areas that touch every part of our business—including our Enterprise Data Management, Cybersecurity and Credit Card programs.
Employees are the heart of BECU, and we’re looking for people who have a passion for technology and seek a values-based culture; those who can partner with us to grow our future, while appreciating the past and how far we have come. As our digital journey continues, employees have the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally while working on meaningful projects that impact nearly 1.2 million members and over 2,000 employees.
BECU is a special place to work and we’re excited to recruit new employees whose values align with our own. Our five core values are more than just words—they’re our foundation and part of what drives us every day.
Employees express that they have a sense of purpose and belonging at BECU. They have an opportunity to work with technology that supports innovation in the banking space and give back to their communities. We’re especially proud that more than a third of our technology leaders are women (and that number continues to grow!).
Our commitment to financial well-being extends to our communities and is shown in different ways. By partnering with organizations like Year Up and the Many Lights Foundation, we strive to share our technical resources and expertise with community partners in meaningful ways.
It’s an exciting time at BECU. Our team is looking to adapt and innovate, using the power of technology to set the standard for member, employee and community engagement. If your passion for these areas matches ours, apply today.
