Track Down Tenable at KubeCon Europe!

I'm super excited to be joining the Tenable Team at the now sold-out KubeCon + Cloud Native EMEA Conference happening in Amsterdam the Week of April 17. 

For those of you unfamiliar with Tenable or wonder why Tenable is going to #kubecon , here’s the deal: Tenable is a security company that has been around for 20+ years, starting in the vulnerability management space with Nessus. Today, the company has evolved to cover Web Application Security, Attack Surface Management, Active Directory Security, Cyber Physical Asset Security, and recently launched Tenable One Exposure Management Platform. 

And the evolution continues with – drum roll – the reason we’ll be at KubeCon: Tenable Cloud Security. 

Along with this enterprise-grade cloud security solution, Tenable now also maintains Terrascan. Terrascan is a popular open-source infrastructure-as-code (IaC) security testing tool that enables users to scan code used to provision cloud systems (think Terrascan, Docker and YAML), and discover security problems as part of local testing cycles. It helps uncover and mitigate common security weaknesses, including: 

• Server-side encryption misconfigurations
• Use of AWS Key Management Service (KMS) with Customer Managed Keys (CMS)
• Encryption in-transit SSL/TLS that’s not enabled and configured properly
• Security Groups open to the public internet
• Inadvertent public exposure of cloud services
• Access logs not enabled on resources that support them

In addition to Terrascan, Tenable will be showcasing cloud security capabilities at KubeCon, including: 

• #KSPM / #CSPM – Enabling users to ensure their security posture across multi-cloud Kubernetes environments
• #IaC Security / #DevSecOps – Scan IaC git repositories and integrate controls as part of pipelines
• Container Security – Scan container registries for vulnerabilities and reconcile with running containers 
• Compliance and Remediation – Automate compliance reporting and streamline remediation with prescriptive content
