SAP Solution Performance Management with Focused Insights (1/3): Dashboards Models

In this series of post, I will explain how to use Focused Insights to achieve SAP Solution Performance Management objectives.

Focused Insights delivers seven dashboards models grouped in three different dashboards use-cases:

  1. Strategic
  2. Governance
  3. Operations

When deploying Focused Insights in your organization, you need to select and implement the dashboard models corresponding to your strategy and goals.


Let's first have a deeper look to the different dashboards use-cases :

Operations

The Operations use-case contains 2 models:

  1. Operation Control Center
  2. Operation

Operation:

  • Merge different alerting sources in a combined view modeling service’s organization.

Operation Control Center:

  • Unify and correlate different sources of data into a single chart.
  • Provide real-time visibility on Application and Business indicators.



Governance

The Governance use-case contains 3 models:

  1. Service Level Reporting
  2. Tactical
  3. Readiness

Service Level Reporting:

  • Provide Service Level compliance reporting capabilities to get transparency on IT Processes.

Tactical:

  • Report the status and the trends for a selected list of systems based on a predefined set of indicators configured with specifics thresholds. 

Readiness:

  • Track and report project's progress based on indicators compliance and quality gates.



Strategic

The Strategic use-case contains 2 models:

  1. IT Scorecard
  2. Application Performance


IT Scorecard

  • Provide IT department with the capabilities to demonstrate and control the value of their services to their customers.

Application Performance

  • Provide IT Director with a powerful tool to measure and report on their SAP Application Performance.
  • Detect and diagnose application performance problems.
