SAP MaxAttention Summit in Miami – Transform your business to an intelligent enterprise!

During April 18th-20th, the SAP MaxAttention Summit Spring 2018 was successfully held in Miami. Over 130 customers participated in the community event, and we received overwhelming positive feedback. We would like to thank you all for making it such a fantastic event.

The SAP MaxAttention Summit provides an exclusive platform for our community members to join their SAP MaxAttention peers, SAP board members, executives and customer reference speakers to share and experience how SAP guides the way to become an intelligent enterprise.

Michael Kleinemeier, Member of the SAP Executive Board and the Lead of SAP Digital Business Services, kicked off the keynotes on the first event day introducing the new SAP MaxAttention of the Intelligent Enterprise Suite. Michael presented a compelling overview on how the new SAP MaxAttention will act as one face to the customer with clear accountabilities to cover all SAP solutions and deployments. It allows companies to safeguard implementations, to speed up their transformation journey, and to transform into intelligent enterprises quickly and with an explicit focus on the following:

  • Business outcomes will be at the center of our engagement for customer Run Better, Use Better, Build Better and Extract Value.
  • Enabler of the Intelligent Enterprise Suite with hybrid and cloud scenarios.
  • SAP MaxAttention Planning and Safeguarding complemented by optional services offering full flexibility.
  • The New SAP MaxAttention ensures One SAP Leadership across Cloud and On-Premise.

He was accompanied by Susan White, CIO of Bank of Montreal, who pointed out how SAP MaxAttention helped her company to move efficiently to S/4HANA.

Then, it was my pleasure to be on stage and provide an outlook on enhancements of the new SAP MaxAttention, and how it will help with the transformation to new business models, the transition to the cloud, and how it will be the enabler of customer success with the intelligent enterprise suite.

In this context, I have introduced the new Holistic Engagement Model with a committed team of SAP experts covering business as well as IT demands of our customers. In addition, it was a pleasure to introduce a comprehensive and personalized service portfolio to supports all SAP solutions and deployment models for on-promise, cloud and hybrid. We want to ensure that your IT Infrastructure and Business can benefit from these offerings from innovation to Run. In a nutshell, our newly enhanced services will provide three different levels. Our customers will select the level of commitment from SAP that meet the current situation the best. This approach enables us to deliver predictable outcomes that adapt efficiently to specific needs and drive desired business results.

We have the district pleasure to have Coca-Cola sharing their experience with SAP MaxAttention. Jerome Amand and Jose Bolanos from Coca-Cola shared how SAP MaxAttention helps them to embark on their digital transformation journey with a full modernization of their processes with S/4HANA.

Ralph Yost from Microsoft also highlighted the cybersecurity topic on how to design, build, and run in a secure manner. An extremely relevant topic for our customers and ecosystem. Both customers were inspirational in the design of our new SAP MaxAttention.

We also had the pleasure to have the following Break-out sessions in the morning:

  • Cybersecurity: Design, Build, Run in a secure manner led by Hartwig Brand
  • Efficient End-to-End Operations of Hybrid Landscapes led by Andreas Krueckendorf

In the afternoon, Christian Klein, COO and Member of the SAP Executive Board, shared SAP’s strategy blueprint to become an intelligent enterprise: How SAP masters the digital transformation along the complete value chain and infuses innovations into the core business processes.

Customers from different industries and backgrounds were actively sharing their own experiences with SAP MaxAttention, and how services and support from SAP helped accelerate their digital transformation journeys.

Andreas Heckmann, SVP of SAP Digital Business Services and Head of SAP Support, talked about machine learning, and how SAP Leonardo digital innovation system can help simplify the customer support experience.

Tom Janoshalmi, Head of SAP Digital Business Services Strategy and Portfolio, along with Mr. Gabriel Vilar, SAP Solution Architect from Vale Brazil, provided a compelling on how Vale’s is innovating with SAP Leonardo with Design Thinking paving the way for Digital Transformation.

Alexander Oesterle, Head of SAP Premium Engagements in MEE, introduced Mr. Thomas Assheuer, Head of IT Production Management from Henkel. Thomas presented how SAP MaxAttention enables Henkel to the S/4HANA journey.

In parallel, Balaji Rao Gaddam, Head of Supply Chain Center of Expertise, presented the Digital Transformation in the Extended Supply Chain together with Mr. Nagedh Ramesh, Senior Director of Enterprise Applications from CSL Behring.

On the second day, Bernd Leukert, Member of the SAP Executive Board, Products & Innovation, and Rob Enslin, Member of the SAP Executive Board and President of Cloud Business Group, started the discussion on how to Win with Intelligent Enterprise.

They helped customers to understand SAP’s vision of the intelligent enterprise, as well as how SAP organically incorporated emerging technologies and innovations into products to help customers succeed.

We had also the pleasure to have Juergen Mueller SAP Chief Technology Officer with a great presentation on how to Bring the Intelligent Enterprise to Life with Machine Learning. Juergen brought the future of SAP technologies and strategy to our customers.

During the following five customer experience sharing sessions, the following new SAP MaxAttention focus topics were presented:

  • Ashok Raman and Rudi Hois provided an overview of an Implementation Support and experiences with SAP S/4HANA.
  • Christian Freytag and Meinolf Kaimann gave a detail presentation on the SAP MaxAttention along with the new customer journey.
  • Sabrina Hartmann explained the Platform as a Services and DevOps strategy.
  • Tonja Erismann detailed the Innovation and how customers can unfold their Innovations with the new SAP MaxAttention.
  • Andreas Krueckendorf presented the Business Process Improvement for SAP Solutions with Stefan Gerlach from Endress+Hauser.

At the closing panel, Christian Freytag, Head of SAP MaxAttention Customer Engagement, and Terence Stacey, ex-Globe Director and CIO of the Nestle Group, and customers together went on stage to discuss how the SAP MaxAttention model can help our customers to discover, adopt and succeed with SAP solutions. It’s our promise to provide the best services and aiming at the same goal with them: Customer success!
