I was digging through my old papers and came across the game design for "ROBOCOP 2". This design was used for both the NES & Gameboy versions which we developed pretty much simultaneously (right @ Chris? Mark? Gary?).
If my memory serves- we were called in to make these games at the eleventh hour by OCEAN. We had six weeks to complete the NES version from phone call to release, and so worked non-stop to get it done. This was my first real experience crunching on a game. There was only four of us working on it at "Painting by Numbers", two programmers and two artists (Ocean provided sound & audio- I believe???). Because we hit our dates and made a pretty good game (IMHO) we were given more NES, Gameboy development- and were one of the first British SNES developers. We worked out of a small office in Sheffield, drank lots of tea, ate our weight in Fish & chips, and had at least twenty pubs within spitting distance.
Good times.
