The Havering Chamber Of Commerce and Industry Showcase took place on 9th October 2017 to support local businesses.

Held at the Queen's Theatre, Hornchurch, Essex, with over 250 visitors it provided the perfect opportunity to network and showcase services in the borough, including those provided by Organisational Rescue.

Organised by Cllr Barry Hicks and opened by the new Mayor of Havering, Ms Linda Van den Hende, there were guest speakers and complementary drinks and buffet plus free prize draws for those registering in advance.

The evening was a great success for Organisational Rescue as many other businesses found they complemented the business coaching we provide at a one to one level, giving practical help where it's needed most, at the front line.

As was explained to the Mayor:

"Organisational Rescue appreciates that when people leave school they embark in business doing what they know they can make a living at. Over time they may bolt more and more services and forget to take others off so end up running a rather large less than efficient business.

That's where Organisational Rescue steps in. We have the project management skills to go in and pull apart the business and examine its composition. We report to the client which parts of the business are profitable and bringing in a return on investment, we shine the light on how they can improve systems and processes to make a better work life balance and ultimately allow them to increase revenue and improve performance. We use a hybrid mix of Agile Lean methodologies and Prince2"

The Mayor totally understood as she too is Prince2 trained and expressed how complicated business structures can be.

But with our decade strong background of working with local secondary schools teaching Business Studies, Information Technology and Computing at GCSE, A2 and Btec level, we assured the Mayor that we specialised in breaking down the complicated.

The Mayor suggested that we get together with The London Borough of Havering Economic development department at the Town Hall where their vision is: "Improvement in the reputation of Havering as a place to do business, greater prosperity and improved quality of life".

Organisational Rescue is totally in tune with that as we:

"...Support the UN Global Goal No. 1:

We fight to build awareness of better management strategies and strive to positively help build sustainable long term businesses for greater job security".
