Namecheap just redirected millions of dollars of potential help to Ukraine to Putin's regime. Please share and help to stop that.

Open anti-war letter to Richard Kirkendall, CEO of Namecheap, Inc, 

Dear Richard, 

In these difficult times, it's very tough to stay rational and be calm. But it's very important to do so because otherwise, emotional decisions can cause significantly more damage than good. And your decision of sending Russian money back to Putin's regime is one of these. 

Yesterday thousands of customers with Russian bill addresses got this letter:

It's barely a minor inconvenience to transfer domain. It cost a few bucks and 30 second to add the card in scrum system. And you have a right to request so. But many users who was born there and still hold the passport:

- Don't live in Russia

- Don't pay taxes there

- Unlike you, spent a fortune to support Navaly, the opposition leader. Which is punishable by jail btw.

- Sent money to support Ukrainian (my support ticket has blockchain proves that exceeded money spent on Namecheap ever) which is considered treason and punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

aside from the fact that you just presumed, I do support Putin and you "sympathize that" based on my nationality (there was a special word for prejudgment against people based on nationality) I do understand the sentiments. 

But here's the thing. It doesn't matter. Even most pro-Putin vatnik who spends money on namecheap gives you the resources to help and make the difference.

By steering away money from other Russian customers who live there you literally help Putin because now they would spend money in local registrators that are government-owned. How many millions of dollars that could be used to help Ukraine you just redirected to Putin's regime and fueled this bloody war?!

I don't know how much exactly money did you get, but short google says Namecheap revenue is $144M/year, and 7.1% of Web pages on the World Wide Web are Russian. Even if this number is smaller it doesn't matter. Every dollar of help counts. 

Please help to stop the war!
