At first glance, the Moon 3D Mobile Theater and the RoWrite Smart Writing Pad couldn’t be more different. One delivers mind-blowing HD, 3D experiences anywhere you go. The other is a writing pad that lets you capture, store, and share his handwritten notes and sketches to any smart device.
Moon and RoWrite were both created by the emerging tech brand Royole, but that’s not all these two devices have in common. Both were built upon a single (and awesome) technology.
We spoke to Royole's Sr. Director of Marketing, Michael Williams.
Moon 3D and RoWrite seem like pretty different devices. What do they have in common?
We understand that on the surface they look very different, but the common thread with all of our products are flexible technologies. In this case, both products use our patented and industry leading flexible sensor technology in their design and functionality. In Moon, it eliminates the need for an external controller for menu navigation; and it RoWrite, it takes the standard paper and ink and delivers it into the digital age. Both products were designed to improve the way people interreact with their personal environment.
What kinds of products use Flexible Display technology?
We are proud to say that our mass production facility for fully flexible displays, the world’s first, is now online. As a result, this opens up infinite opportunities for new products and executions in a variety of categories including: Office & Education, Smart Transportation, Smart Home, Sports & Fashion, Architectural Design, and Consumer Electronics.
What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced bringing new technologies to customers?
The biggest challenge we’ve faced is waiting for product integration and innovation to catch up to our technological development and manufacturing success. Another challenge has been exposing and educating consumers on the advantages these flexible technologies bring to their experiences. This is where we’re excited to be working with Brookstone to bring these improved experiences to the consumer.
You can try out both the Royole Moon 3D and RoWrite at the Brookstone Makers Showcase at the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, NY, or learn more at Brookstone.com.
