It is impossible to adequately describe what great VR is but you know it when you see it. If you are at SXSW this year, you have the chance to experience it.

Right outside the front steps of the Austin Convention Center is the McDonald's Loft, a super sponsor at this year's SXSW festival. Step inside and you get to experience a VR activation that puts you inside of a Happy Meal and gives you the chance to take part in a VR performance art event.

The experience uses the HTC Vive headset, which allows participants to walk into the Happy Meal and go to town!

While you are in the experience, you have VR tools that allow you to capture and share what you are doing. When you are done, you can share that experience with friends. The technology not only captures the VR experience but it also videos you in the physical space, so you can share both.

The person below obviously has some moves.

Now getting back to the real world, participants can also print out their 3d artwork and take it with them.
