How the Jefferson Memorial Got The Misquote From Our First Organic Law Re: Our "Unalienable Rights."
Most briefly stated and to the point: We absolutely need an end to ignorance about our rightful self-government! I am as convinced as I can be that Individual freedom in The United States of America depends on certain comprehension of our four Organic Laws starting with the Declaration of Independence. One of the most famous lines of all our founding documents is: "We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights ..." However (and this is the crux of what has finally underscored my absolute certainty of the above stated need) the Jefferson Monument has misquoted this line with "inalienable" instead of "unalienable." The problem here is that the American people do not know the difference between these two terms! Comprehending the contrast of the difference between these two terms is utterly crucial for the Individual to be able to know what true freedom is - both personally and by extension for the rest of humanity. I would love to be part of a team effort for developing a private school's new history "department". I easily envision full engagement in all the arts and in the classic foundation of a truly enlightening and empowering education directed by a High Ideal of "true freedom"! I've written to the friends of Jefferson at Monticello asking them to share with me what they know of how the Declaration of Independence got misquoted in stone at the Memorial. I am so looking forward to hearing what they have to say. I think they should know and that os why I am encouraged to inquire with them more so then with government libraries. We will see what the response is. If there is something to share for that I'll write again!
Just researched this further since visiting "Monticello" and found real "pay dirt" in the William and Mary Quarterly Journal Article - The Revision of the Declaration of Independence in 1941 By: Frank Whitson Fetter! Made my day! Please read that article!

Just sent the following to the National Park Service: national_mall@nps.gov Greetings! Just found the Thomas Jefferson Memorial Inscriptions page[1] moments ago and took special note of the first sentence in the Southwest Portico: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, that to secure these rights governments are instituted among men. ..." The quote is noted as being: "Excerpted from the Declaration of Independence, 1776" however the National Archives has the original Declaration that shows a significant difference[2] from what is engraved at the Southwest Portico. The Southwest Portico has "inalienable rights" and the original Declaration has "unalienable Rights." It is plain to see that the Southwest Portico is engraved with a misquote of the first Organic Law of "The Organic Laws of The United States of America" (as acknowledged in The United States Code)[3]. In light of the above - please answer the following questions: How did the misquote of "inalienable rights" happen? ......... Have there been any other inquires from the public in regards to this misquote? ......... If so what information has been given to the public thus far in this regards? .........
