High Jump!

This is what that has been happening at Infosys in recent times and with our rankings in this year’s Forbes list of world’s best regarded companies. Being ranked 3rd among the global players, is a great achievement. This is a testament to the company’s focus on key areas, wide range strategic initiatives, developing strong and diverse workforce, and in delivering world class solutions for our customers. 

As delivery leaders, we see a culture shift in our approach of IT Services with Digital Transformation at the center stage. Specifically, in the U.S. the formation of regional technology and innovation hubs, having diverse people from different backgrounds, partnering with leading universities in developing talent pool in new-age technology areas such as Cybersecurity, Data & Analytics, AI, etc. are examples of some of the steps that give us the competitive advantage and put us ahead in the market.

One of the things that I like the most about the company is the ‘platform of opportunities’ that it provides to work across many technology areas, industry and business segments, and geographies around the world. In many cases, this ability to move across is a life changing experience. It enables all Infoscions to learn, grow, and steer their career to stay relevant in today’s fast changing business and technology landscape.

The other important aspect is our culture, that goes beyond a typical corporate-employee relationship and focuses on holistic aspects of engagement and belongingness. Whether it is at development centers in India, or at the hubs in the U.S, we have opportunities to engage in client site projects, internal projects, innovation items, groups and community events, and many more. The dynamics, energy, and passion of our teams to make things happen, is noteworthy.

Personally, I have worked with so many inspiring leaders and mentors who have shaped my professional career and in some of them I have found good friends for life. I also consider myself lucky to have had very talented, knowledgeable, relentless team members who helped us navigate through difficult and tough situations.

In the last 14 years at the company from starting at state of the art learning facility in Mysore, to learning new technologies and domains, to helping deliver cutting edge services globally in niche’ areas of Cyber Security, I have witnessed how Infosys has evolved over these years and has aligned itself to changing needs of the market. Back then, it was, and still remains, one of the top companies in India to work for and one that is regarded very highly among the corporates. It is therefore, so encouraging and satisfying to see that recognition getting expanded at a global level now with us being in the top 3 in Forbes rankings.
