The first time I tried out the prototype of the Samsung Gear VR it was a black prototype. Then the white Innovator Edition came out and I thought it looked like a kick ass Stormtrooper accessory.
The newest Samsung Gear VR goes on sale in 2 weeks and I just got my hands on it and it is "Back in Black!" The Force is Strong with this one.
101º FOV (Field of View) versus 96º in pervious models. Solid blackout inside - makes for better viewing experience with no reflective surfaces.
More buttons! It now has a Home button. Larger trackpad like the original.
Fits new and older phones. Plus has a connection adapter for power and data.
