When you run a blog you can end up feeling creatively tapped before too long. The need to constantly maintain a fresh cycle of ideas becomes a burden, and recycling content is helpful, but not sustainable all the time. Is it any wonder so many people find themselves burning out within the first year? Some don't even make it that far.
But a blog can only be successful if those running it are consistent. It takes at least a year for most to see significant growth, and two to gain a regular following that qualifies you as mainstream. How can you keep going that long (much less beyond it) while still keeping your content high quality?
What you need is a way to continuously brainstorm ideas. Hopefully, MyBlogU will let you do just that, and a whole lot more.
Introducing MyBlogU.com - The Creativity Creator
Having someone to bounce ideas off of is a crucial part of coming up with fresh ideas. Having a lot of people to bounce ideas off of, especially those who are within the same industry or niche as you, is even better. MyBlogU provides a platform for you to do that.
Just add your idea (or ask fro help with ideas) into the brainstorming feature. Then ask community members to help you flesh things out. You may find yourself getting a unique perspective, and many other ideas for future content, follow ups and more.
Here's just one example from my own experience:
Here's my brainstorm project (feel free to submit your tips btw ;))
And here are the articles that resulted from it:
- Build relationships with influencers at SEJ (idea from Christy Kunjumon)
- Build traffic with interviews at 2Create a website (idea from Christy Kunjumon, again)
- Find expertis to interview at your blog at Small Biz Trends (checklist sent to me as an idea by Phil Turner)
Finally, they have a great tool for expert interviews. This is my personal favorite, as it makes it easy to get snippets for quotes, or to add questions to get insight from industry experts. You can create group interview pieces quickly and easily, without having to coordinate a time that everyone is available. Or compete with their full inbox for email attention.
Example: How Do You Monitor and Manage Twitter Mentions (Group Mastermind followed by the Twitter Chat)?
All of this will ensure that you are never short of great ideas for your blog, no matter how often you update it. Plus, you will be building authority and making connections with a group of people for the future. Just imagine the guest posting opportunities, the social media exposure, and more!
Conclusion
If you need fresh ideas for your blog (don't we all?), check out MyBlogU. It is the simplest way to brainstorm ideas, collect interviews, and build valuable content, all in one place.
