We’re ready to deliver for America this holiday season 🎁🎄 We’ve added new, efficient sorting machines to help us sort 50 million packages daily 📦
Brings back memories! Some good; some bad. Every job I had at USPS resulted in no mood for Christmas season or decorations at home (was exhausted when I got home). Went from Transportation, MDO, Manager at Airport where we processed all the Priority Mail, to Postmaster. All the jobs took me away from home many hours ( of course, salaried employee). Grrrrr! The good memories are how 99.9% of my employees worked so hard and was so committed to getting the mail in and out the door as planned! Thanks to all the hard working Postal employees that never get enough recognition, especially during the holiday season. You all rock!!!
Now work on training real supervisors and stop taking union employees off their jobs for a limited time and sending them back to there original job. And what idiot would send a 204b into the areas they work.
Now all we need to do is to quit delivering packages for our competitors… lol
Very known place for Discrimination , They discriminated against my race ,my religion ,my Oregon and now they are discriminating against my disability because i got injured at work and they are declining my restrictions and they not honoring this to go back to work after my drs released me back to work I been out of work for over six years now and they still declined me. If anyone can help or has suggestion and if anyone knows how i can contact the media to share my story and get help please advise Thank you
We don’t need more machines we need more bodies
Have you all hired more people to help with the more packages? Also, having more bodies will help break down the need for people to cover 18+ miles on foot everyday which would cut down on injuries as well as the abuse from management having unreal expectations. The machines will not help. Getting rid of everyone and starting over with a whole new culture will help. For what these carriers are put through, they are not paid enough.
Growing the business and investing in the machines to process the volumes will bring the business into the future. Now the need becomes getting the technicians into the training billets.
I question the mail services' integrity! They'll tell you that you'll have one day off a week, but the day you're off they'll call you to say you have to come into work. They don't tell you that your new schedule (posted hrs before you left) shows you DON'T have that day off and you have to work another full week to get that ONE day off! Let's mention the fact that you're working 12hr days, consecutively. The leadership of the postmaster general (Louis DeJoy) is ridiculous and needs to leave office. They need more employees, not better sorting machines.
Having new machines is great but even better would be trained people to run them. Having trucks with drivers to get them out of centers on time. Real training for the expediters on the dock to coordinate getting trucks out. Enough trained individuals to load and unload the trucks. And supervisors, managers, MDO, SDO that care about employees and know the job. Follow through the whole chain, do not just focus on new machines.

2yNow work on changing the culture, there's no reason for what goes on at a typical USPS facility. No one should have to earn a regular day off, no one should have to justify needing rest, and no one should have to have a medical reason that the aforementioned issues are an unreasonable expectation. Address your staffing issues, your lack of leadership, and the toxic environment that allows abuses of power then worry about new machines.
