Reflecting on August 15, we celebrated the launch of Ushahidi’s Election Data Resilience Initiative in partnership with the Filecoin Foundation for the Decentralized Web. This initiative aims to establish a resilient Election Data Archive, ensuring that citizen reports from elections are secure, tamper-proof, and accessible for years to come. The event brought together a diverse group of experts and advocates to discuss the power of decentralized storage and the future of election data integrity. We shared our vision, explored the technology behind the initiative, and engaged in meaningful conversations about empowering civil society with verifiable data.
