The Financial Literacy and Education Commission (FLEC) released its Annual Report to Congress for fiscal year (FY) 2023 and FY 2024. This report highlights the relevant activities of the FLEC represented agencies in promoting financial literacy and education. I am glad to see governments of all levels are now seeing financial literacy as the bedrock for the people. I have dedicated most of my career educating the public on it in terms of accounting and taxes. I focus on personal finances and business. Currently have a financial literacy platform with over 40hrs of pre-recorded videos. What I am finding out is people not interested to invest in themselves about learning. For my part I've listened to my intuition and have it available for those interested which is not a lot, but at least it's there . I will keep promoting it with the limited resources that I have. If a few gets it them my job is done. I think the federal government should make financial literacy a requirement in school from kindergarten, yes the kids can get it. I know because I raised my 25 and 26 yrs old daughters and started with them from 3 yrs old and now both are extremely financially responsible. So I have the proof of concept and the receipts. My 26 yr old just bought her condo in August 2024, 4 yrs after graduating from college undergrad and master's in 2023. It works.
