Happy to welcome the Netherlands’ Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, Aukje de Vries, to #Lebanon!   As part of the visit, the Minister joined an ILO Arab States - منظمة العمل الدولية، المكتب الاقليمي للدول العربية and UNICEF Lebanon training for young entrepreneurs at the UNICEF GIL Lab operated by Mouvement Social in Beirut, showcasing the results of joint efforts under the #PROSPECTSPartnership. This collaboration equips early-stage start-ups and MSMEs with the skills and financial pathways they need to grow, despite Lebanon’s ongoing economic challenges. Through initiatives like Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB), trainers and youth are developing viable business plans, building resilience, and preparing for investment.   What’s Next: 🔹 10 newly certified SIYB trainers are delivering advanced business development support in Beirut and Mount Lebanon 🔹 1,000 youth and MSMEs will be trained in SIYB and financial education 🔹 Graduates are referred to Lebanon’s microfinance partner Al Majmoua to access tailored financial services that help scale their enterprises   Together, we are opening doors to opportunity and supporting sustainable economic futures for young women and men across Lebanon.   The visit focused on gaining a deeper understanding of Lebanon’s refugee context and seeing how the PROSPECTS Partnership, led by Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken supports the economic inclusion of refugees and host communities and helps young people build livelihoods and hope for the future. Netherlands Embassy in Lebanon Maha kattaa Fadia JRADI يسعدنا الترحيب بوزيرة التجارة الخارجية والتعاون من أجل التنمية في مملكة هولندا، السيدة أوكيا دي فريس، في لبنان!   وخلال الزيارة، شاركت الوزيرة في تدريب مشترك بين منظمة العمل الدولية ومنظمة الأمم المتحدة للطفولة (اليونيسف) لفئة من روّاد الأعمال الشباب في "مختبر جيل" التابع لليونسيف في مركز جمعية الحركة الاجتماعية في بيروت حيث اطّلعت على نتائج الجهود المشتركة في إطار مشروع آفاق.    ويهدف هذا التعاون إلى دعم الشركات الناشئة والمؤسسات المتناهية الصغر والصغيرة والمتوسطة، من خلال تزويدها بالمهارات والمسارات المالية التي تتيح لها النمو والصمود في ظل التحديات الاقتصادية التي يواجهها لبنان. من خلال برنامج " ابدا وحسن مشروعك" ، يطوّر المدرّبون والشباب خطط أعمال قابلة للتطبيق، ويعزّزون قدراتهم على التكيّف، ويستعدّون لجذب الاستثمار. الخطوات المقبلة 🔹 قيام 10 مدرّبين جدد معتمدين بتنفيذ تدريبات متقدمة في تطوير الأعمال في بيروت وجبل لبنان 🔹 تدريب 1,000 شاب وشابة ومؤسسة على برنامج SIYB وبرامج التثقيف المالي 🔹 إحالة الخريجين إلى مؤسسة التمويل الأصغر "المجموعة (Al Majmoua)"، الشريك الوطني لمنظمة العمل الدولية، لتقييم احتياجاتهم التمويلية وتوفير خدمات مالية ميسّرة تساعدهم على توسيع مشاريعهم نعمل معاً على فتح آفاق جديدة وبناء مستقبل اقتصادي مستدام للشابات والشباب في لبنان. وهدفت الزيارة إلى تعزيز فهم الواقع المتعلق باللاجئين في لبنان، والاطلاع على كيفية مساهمة مشروع آفاق بقيادة وزارة الخارجية الهولندية في دعم الإدماج الاقتصادي للاجئين والمجتمعات المضيفة وبناء سبل العيش وتعزيز الأمل لدى الشباب.
