🔒October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month- a reminder that online safety isn’t just about protecting data systems, but also about protecting people. While cybersecurity focuses on securing digital infrastructures, the same principles of vigilance and prevention apply to online sexual harm. At RESOLVE, our research explores the psychological and behavioural dynamics behind online sexual offending, the spread of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and digital environments that enable harm. #CyberSecurityAwarenessMonth #OnlineSafety #ForensicPsychology #CSAMPrevention #DigitalWellbeing

✨ The collaboration between CyberBells Foundation and the Ghana Internet Safety Foundation (GISF) is one to admire. At the launch of National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, this partnership stood out for its commitment to equipping law enforcement with the skills to tackle today’s digital threats. Through GISF’s ePolice Academy, police officers in the Bono and Ashanti Regions are being trained in cyber-enabled crime investigations, cyberforensics, and child online safety. The Trainer-of-Trainers model ensures that knowledge doesn’t stop at one session but cascades across regions, strengthening the capacity of hundreds of officers. For me, this is where cybersecurity awareness becomes meaningful not just policies or headlines, but practical skills that empower those on the frontlines of protecting our communities. Stringent new rules from Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) define how law enforcement agencies must protect criminal justice information, requiring agencies to manage risk, vulnerabilities, and threats down to the #firmware within their assets—well below the level covered by traditional security tools. By partnering with Eclypsium, multiple FL law enforcement agencies were able to easily meet these new regulatory requirements and greatly enhance their #cybersecurity, without burdening IT and security staff. As a female Invisible security, is crucial in 2025 for enhancing personal safety, providing privacy, and having a peace of mind. With the rise in senseless shootings and public safety concerns, having discreet security measures can help deter potential threats while maintaining a sense of normalcy in your daily life. TSS can monitor real-time data, be on site with you, and even provide instant security at arms length when necessary. As communities face increased anxiety over violence, the integration of invisible security in every home becomes a proactive approach to safeguarding families. Ultimately, prioritizing these measures not only addresses immediate safety concerns but also fosters a culture of preparedness and resilience against unnecessary tragedy. #Security #safety #protection #freedom #PeaceOfMind

Booters bounce back in ~20–40 hours after law enforcement intervention. A new study by researchers at the University of Cambridge shows how resilient the DDoS-for-hire market really is. Despite global law enforcement takedowns in 2022 and 2023, many services reappeared within hours—often looking identical to their previous sites. But speed does not equal success. Traffic to resurrected domains collapsed by 80–90%, and short-term DDoS volumes fell by up to 40%. Even temporary interventions can create real disruption, undermine trust in the market, and force operators to waste time and resources. This research is a great example of the importance of continued pressure on the DDoS-for-hire ecosystem.
