Today, UNICEF Algérie and the Union européenne en Algérie hosted a conversation with cooperation partners on advancing the child rights agenda in Algeria. International expert and UNICEF Representative in Greece, Dr. Ghassan Khalil, highlighted global and regional child rights frameworks, shared European experiences such as the Child Rights Centre in Greece, and reflected on recent progress with Algerian institutions. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to explore alongside partners how to strengthen a child rights-based approach in development cooperation and further accelerate the realization of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in Algeria.
