Two years ago, UNICEF launched the Today and Tomorrow Initiative (TTI) to help protect children from growing climate and disaster risks. In Mozambique, over 150,000 people benefitted from climate-resilient water services enabled by innovative technologies and private-sector partnerships. TTI mobilizes funds, builds capacity, and when disasters strike, TTI’s insurance complements government efforts, providing rapid support to vulnerable families in need. “The support from UNICEF was timely. It alleviated our immediate financial burden, enabling me to focus on my health and my baby,” says Pramita from Bangladesh. Her family was among over 8,000 households that received emergency cash within days after the cyclone, pre-arranged through TTI’s insurance coverage. TTI shows how reducing risks today and securing financing for tomorrow, work together to protect children and vulnerable communities from growing climate and disaster threats. Read how TTI is driving faster, stronger protection for children in our year two report. #COP30
