Pneumonia is the infectious disease that claims the most children’s lives worldwide. Yet, almost all of these deaths are preventable. This #WorldPneumoniaDay, decision makers must protect every child by investing in quality health care and life-saving vaccines.

It's disheartening knowing that severe malnutrition, cholera, pneumonia and other common cases of deaths among children can all be prevented. We should work on increasing the awareness of World Pneumonia Day, and investing qualitatively in primary healthcare centers.

This hits even harder knowing that I’ve had pneumonia twice. We need to ensure that children across the globe have sufficient healthcare to survive this awful disease.
