When conflict broke out in Sudan, the dangers of violence, including sexual violence, against children and women grew. UNICEF and partners have opened the first women and girls’ centre in Kassala State where they can learn where to report sexual violence and how to protect themselves. “I have learnt how to protect myself and my children. I also know that if I hear of a rape case, I should take the survivor to hospital and report to the police immediately,” Maimuna, a mother of three, says. En lugar de depender de donaciones eternas, convertimos la ayuda en oportunidad.
