From Gaza to Haiti, Sudan to DR Congo, millions of children are living through humanitarian crises that are devastating to their mental health. Too often, the support they need is missing. Mental health is a fundamental human right, essential not only for children to survive but to thrive. In emergencies, it needs to be prioritized, because neglecting it causes long-term harm for individuals and society alike. UNICEF and partners are urgently investing in child and adolescent mental health. Trained frontline staff are ready to respond, provide care and support children so they can reach their full potential, even in crises. #OnMyMind

So disheartening 💔😭🙏 Please check out my newly written book. My US sponsor has provided a platform for me to share my story. I am deeply moved by this kind gesture. I am the author of this work. I appreciate your support. THE VILLAGE GIRL -Book is dedicated to my deceased dad and the "James and Christy Foundation." See the introduction and more at: books.by/j-holmes

Thanks for sharing honorable UNICEF team ❤ We came to change the minds of the leaders 😢. You want to see evil? Look what the human do when they think God is on their side. For #humanity , #Humanrights and #democracy on free Palestine #right 🇵🇸 ❤🤲🙏🙌💙

"God has put me in a place and in a mindset to help others." Yes I live in a remote Village near Abuja Nigeria. Yes, my mum and I struggle to just get by. But many in US will never visit my home or Nigeria for that matter. I worked with a person who saw my heart when it came to helping others. Perhaps poverty is foreign to many who have not experienced it. I live it every day. Does this mean that I should accept conditions without fighting for a better life? My book is my way of sharing a part of Village life here. Your support means a lot to me. I am not asking for a handout....but hand up is heartfelt on this end. Judith Ene Agada, The Village Girl. Please get a copy. Thank you for supporting me.

This is such an important reminder. The psychological scars of conflict often last much longer than the physical ones. Prioritising children’s mental health in crises is not optional; it’s essential for rebuilding lives and communities. 💙

The emotional toll of conflict on children is often invisible but lifelong. Physical recovery can begin once the violence stops, but healing the mind takes far longer and without proper support, that pain shapes entire generations. Prioritizing mental health in emergencies isn’t optional; it’s part of rebuilding humanity itself. UNICEF’s work in this area is not just timely, it’s essential.

Thank you, UNICEF, for highlighting this urgent issue. Every child deserves care, hope, and support — especially in times of crisis. At Afghan Winner International, we stand with you in making mental health a priority for every child, everywhere.

UNICEF’s message resonates deeply. Protecting children’s mental health in times of crisis is not only a moral duty but a long-term investment in our shared future. Ensuring access to care and support allows every child to retain hope and dignity, even in the most difficult circumstances. We salute the commitment of UNICEF and its partners in making this a global priority. 🌍🙏

This is such an important reminder that mental health is not a luxury it’s a fundamental right, especially for children living through crisis. Prioritizing mental health support in emergencies doesn’t just heal trauma; it builds resilience, hope, and the foundation for future recovery. Kudos to UNICEF and partners for ensuring that every child has the chance to heal, grow, and thrive even in the hardest circumstances. 🌍💙

It is heartbreaking to see and learn about the injustice committed against children in various circumstances around the world. Girls as young as 10 years forced into premature parenting in the name of culture. It is hard to believe that some.of these.oractices are still happening in the independent country like ours. Action is of the essence. #justiceforAll Definitely, agreed, mental health for children is as urgent as other humanitarian supports.
