Thirty years after the Beijing Declaration, girls and women are still having to defend rights that should already be guaranteed: safety, equity and freedom from discrimination. Enough is enough. Across Europe and Central Asia, adolescent girls and young women are raising their voices alongside peers worldwide to demand urgent progress on six key actions. #GirlGoals

I love this but I have one strong objection. When you are 20, you do not say I am a girl. There is no guy that says I am a boy at that age. We are not girls. We are women. We are owed the same respect as men who offer the same value. So, stop with I am a girl and own the fact that we are grown up and demand our space and place in whatever environment we inabit! 💪

True equity isn't measured in declarations, it's measured in daily lived experiences. When we center girls' voices, we're not just advocating for them, we're learning from their vision. Progress isn't about granting permission; it's about removing the barriers that never should have existed.

It’s inspiring to see young women taking the lead for equality and justice. Thirty years on, the message of the Beijing Declaration still reminds us how far we must go — and how strong the next generation’s voice has become. 💪🌍
