186 nutrition centres have closed across South Sudan in 2025. This means that babies suffering from severe acute malnutrition - like Tito - are at risk of being left without lifelines, without the care they need to survive. UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Liam Neeson reminds us that investing in children is a necessity and that funding must urgently be maintained so that every child can survive and thrive.

This is really heart-rending 😟💔 Sudan definitely needs attention.
Deeply moved by this powerful message. The closure of 186 nutrition centres in South Sudan is not just a statistic — it is a heartbreaking reminder of how vulnerable children across the world still are. UNICEF and leaders like Liam Neeson are doing extraordinary work in bringing global attention to severe acute malnutrition. Every child, no matter where they are born, deserves care, protection and a chance to thrive. As someone working at the grassroots level in India, I strongly believe that investment in children is the most meaningful investment any society can make. Whether it is through education, sports, nutrition, health, or community-led initiatives, every effort contributes to shaping a stronger future. Standing in solidarity with UNICEF’s mission and hoping that global support continues so that no child is left without the lifelines they need to survive. — Neeru Yadav, Sarpanch & Social Entrepreneur
The problem is that the African Leaders don't know the true meaning of the phrase "Charity Begins at home" most of them their families are never within the country and if they are,it's the elders not the children. Sad very 😔 sad. May we see these children smile again.
Yes, Liam, investing in children is not a luxury. It is a necessity indeed! 👏❤️😍
Closing 186 nutrition centers means millions of children and other vulnerables are gravely suffering.Additional sufficient resources urgently required to alleviate the situation.
Thank You Liam Neeson. Love ❤️ always
This is a powerful reminder that consistent investment in child nutrition is not optional—it’s essential for protecting the most vulnerable.

1dI’m appalled that the UK government cut aid funding. Along with other major aid donors it means an increase in crisis management and for the generosity of the public to step in. Those who say charity begins at home, should reflect on the history of many places that experience the greatest need. Also how supporting countries to provide a basic level of existence, will help people help themselves and others. You might shout”corruption” at the TV - but #UNICEF and other amazing global, national and local NGOs put in rigouous financial processes to mage sure the money goes to those who need it most. Keep up the good work #UNICEF
