Last week, UNICEF Lesotho welcomed President Sister Susan Holland Porter and her delegation from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to witness firsthand how the Church’s support is helping transform maternal and newborn health across the country. 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵’𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲: ✅ 𝟵𝟬𝟬+ healthcare workers trained through simulation-based learning ✅ Mobile ultrasound services now reaching mothers in remote villages ✅ Stronger skills, teamwork, and confidence among doctors, nurses, and midwives in managing obstetric emergencies The delegation also observed a simulation on managing pre-eclampsia, showcasing how hands-on training is strengthening skills and saving lives.
