Arken Age is set to launch on Quest 3 on October 30. This port of the PC VR and PS VR2 title maintains the core gameplay and narrative experience, despite necessary visual adjustments for standalone hardware. Initial impressions of the first three levels highlight that elements like dense environments, scale, and physics-driven combat are well-preserved. While textures and lighting have been scaled back, the overall visual presentation on Quest 3 is noted as competent. Sound design remains consistent with the PC VR version. Performance during combat sequences is described as fluid, with responsive climbing and weapon switching. Minor framerate drops might occur in highly populated combat areas but are not reported to hinder immersion or gameplay significantly. The early assessment suggests that Quest 3 users will experience the essential aspects of Arken Age, distinguishing it primarily through fidelity compared to higher-spec platforms. What are your thoughts on optimizing VR titles for standalone headsets while preserving the core experience? #ArkenAge #Quest3 #VRGaming #VirtualReality #GameDevelopment #explorewithquest #QuestCreatorPartner
