UNICEF East Asia and Pacific’s Post

In Papua New Guinea, too many children were missing out on life-saving vaccines. Mothers often walked long distances to clinics—only to find vaccines out of stock or the doors closed. With national immunisation coverage at just 50%, children remained vulnerable to preventable diseases. Today, digital tools are transforming vaccine delivery. Parents no longer need to miss work or make long, uncertain journeys. With support from the Government of Japan, Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, and UNICEF, innovations like mSupply and eSupervisory are helping health workers ensure vaccines reach children when and where they’re needed.
