In Kemabolo, Papua New Guinea, access to clean water was once a daily struggle—women and girls walking long distances, schools and health services limited, communities vulnerable to climate shocks. 🌍💧 Today, a solar-powered water supply system is transforming life for 30,000 people, including 12,000 children, while 450,000 more across the country benefit indirectly from benefit indirectly from strengthened infrastructure. UNICEF, in partnership with the Government of Korea, local authorities, and community leaders, is delivering climate-resilient infrastructure that strengthens health, education, and child protection. “Clean water is not just a basic need in life, it’s a right,” says Mackllah Gulu, head girl at Kemabolo Day School.
