UNICEF Cameroon’s Post

🌟 What if this week, you became the turning point in a young girl's life? I’m COTA Gisèle, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve been deeply concerned about the realities faced by women and girls in environments that often limit their potential. Long before any formal initiative, I found myself listening, guiding, and encouraging the young girls around me—informally, but wholeheartedly. In July 2025, I was honoured to be selected as a mentor for the MA COTA program—an initiative launched by the government and UNICEF Cameroon dedicated to helping girls find their voice, their path, and their power as future women leaders. 💬 As a mentor: I supported my mentee in discovering her strengths and embracing her vulnerabilities. I helped her overcome fears, build confidence, and believe in her potential. Academically, I guided her through her thesis, enhanced her CV, and assisted her in selecting professional training that aligned with her ambitions. Volunteering as a mentor has been an advantageous experience. I witnessed a young girl blossom, grow, and rise. Each milestone she reached filled me with pride and joy. This bond of trust and transmission reminded me of how powerful mentorship can be as a tool for transformation. ✨ The MA COTA program allows us, as women, to reconnect with our stories and put our experiences to work for the next generation. It creates a space where every girl can dream big, build strong, and rise tall. 💥 This Monday, I invite you to take action. 👉 Become a role model, a guide, a source of strength for a girl who simply needs someone to believe in her. Because every dream deserves a woman who believes in it. #MentorshipMatters #MACOTA #WomenEmpoweringGirls #Leadership #MondayMotivation #BeTheChange
