Like many adolescent girls in the north-west and south-west regions of #Cameroon, Emmanuella felt abandoned. These two regions have been plagued by a sociopolitical crisis since 2017. Due to the crisis, Emmanuella was unable to continue going to school. Thanks to TeenAlive Association, an NGO supported by UNICEF Cameroon and EU in Emergencies, she has regained hope. She is now more confident and trains others to help them overcome their challenges. She is now a leader.

I love the Northwest region due to the escalation of the crisis, the Northwest crisis. So I was supposed to further my education here with those that were supposed to sponsor me. And when I got there, in one way or the other, I got pregnant and the family that were in charge of me could not continue again because they could not take care of me and my child. So they had to send me away. In the course of that, my father rejected me, everybody rejected me. Leave, family, friends, community. So when I got here, I had to struggle. Because I had nothing, I had nobody and I was young. So I have I had no support from anybody. So it was so stressful, frustrating. And through that I got to meet Tina life organization that is the teenage mother club. So true. Then I've learned a whole lot of skills. They taught me how hands on skills and life, life skills. Life skills are those skills that are help you. They are there to help you to be able to further your life. Feel so loved. I've learned a whole lot of things that I could not do like speaking like this. It was not really on my plan. I have self esteem that I'm bold I can talk out there and I can encourage a whole lot of people with before that I had I did not have those skills. I want to become that powerful lady that goes out there to encourage a whole lot of people I want I want to encourage those that are going to the same situation. I want to give you people hope I want to be able to give you hope and lastly I want to create. To those that are suffering. So that is my aim and my future.
