In preparation for World Children's Day, the Ministry of Child Welfare and Basic Education in Botswana hosted a press briefing to update the media on an upcoming sub-regional event focused on children's rights and well-being. The event, expected to draw participation of children and heads of states from eight countries, will spotlight collaborative efforts to uplift and protect children across the region. The briefing was led by Acting Minister of Child Welfare and Basic Education, Justin Hunyepa along with a member of Children’s Parliament, Chantell Onneile along with Unicef Acting Representative, Kimanzi Muthengi, EdD. The event was previously hosted by Zambia, Namibia and Zimbabwe.
