Together, we can build a truly child-friendly justice system - one where every child feels seen, heard, and safe. Government of Botswana Nankali M. Powerful message 👏 but we also need to face a deeper truth sometimes our systems don’t just fail to protect children, they become part of the trauma. A child who’s bullied shouldn’t have to fear going to school because the system protects the bully more than the victim. We need a justice and education system that doesn’t only defend rights on paper, but uplifts humanity in practice, one that teaches accountability, compassion, and emotional intelligence from home to classroom to courtroom. Only then can we say our children are truly safe, seen, and protected. 💙🇧🇼
Absolutely. Protecting children must mean protecting them from harm at every step including within the systems meant to serve them. A child-friendly justice system is not a luxury, it’s a right and a reflection of our collective humanity.
