UNICEF joined BOCRA and the Ministry of Communications and Innovation to officially close Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2025 under the theme “Building Cyber Resilience for Now and for the Future.” Speaking at the event, UNICEF Representative a.i., Kimanzi Muthengi, EdD emphasised that cybersecurity is not just a technology issue - it is a child rights and protection priority. As children and young people become the most active internet users, ensuring their safety online is vital to their wellbeing, learning, and future opportunities. Through partnerships with the Government of Botswana - including the Child Online Protection agenda and the Giga Initiative connecting schools - UNICEF continues to advocate for a digital world where every child is connected, empowered, and safe. Together, we can build a cyber-resilient, inclusive, and protective digital future for all children. #CybersecurityMonth #ChildOnlineProtection #DigitalSafety #UNICEFBotswana #ForEveryChild #CyberResilience #GigaInitiative #SmartBots #DigitalFuture
