How can we achieve a net-zero carbon world by 2050? Two basic things we need are rock solid determination and strong collaboration. To facilitate this collaboration in all economic sectors and regions, one year ago, the UN Climate Champions, Gonzalo Muñoz Abogabir and Nigel Topping launched the #RaceToZero campaign. In just one year, they have rallied over 4,500 non-state actors - cities, regions, businesses, investors - to commit to solid net-zero targets by 2050 or before and halve emissions by 2030. On Monday, 14 June at 7 pm CEST (6 pm in London / 1 pm in Santiago de Chile), we will talk to them live. We will ask them how far we are from reaching the goals in each sector and which are the most difficult to tackle. We will also ask what they expect to achieve by Glasgow #COP26. In the Himalayas in India and ice area of the Nordic countries, near North Pole, Antarctic are have low temperature below 0 or 0 degree celsius but the tube well or bore well water from under ground is 20 to 22 degree Celsius means we have minimum 20 degree centigrade temperature difference with this temperature difference I have run a carbon dioxide Rankine cycle, which have a turbine and generator to get electricity. in the tropical areas, hot atmosphere areas or countries, where around 45 Celsius, this machine will work in the reverse direction to generate electricity

Elena "Qazaal" Salimi unfortunately that has a lot to do with the political pressures in the middle east. in Iran particularly although the government has a lot of controle by force, there should be a change of demand. that requires proper education since the country is rich in oil and the price of oil will likely not shoot up as much as other countries. we need to focus on local communities and teach how the change in climate will effect their personal lives and business.

Does it matter how much emissions are emitted before 2050? What happens if the emissions peak in 2049, and stop in 2050, hypothetically?

Net zero is only the start, we need to be at net zero by 2030, with a view to cutting that temperature back 1.1 degrees and leaving all the carbon in the ground and don't even bother splitting the atom...

As Sir David Attenborough mentioned, "During #pandemic #nations have demonstrated that they know how to work together in producing #oxygen #cylinders, #drugs, #respiratoryequipments, and #vaccines. But the #uglytruth is despite all those measures, many lives are lost, and many are still at stake?. Upcoming #climatecrisis is more dreadful than #covid19pandemic. All nations must overcome their political barriers, and Fastrack measures are requested to tackle the upcoming climate crisis. Especially G7
