Dear Trustpilot Are we ready for AI answers, you ask? We’re getting there. Everyone I believe. I assist organizations broadly in preparing for tomorrow and the future. 🤔 With that, there is one thing that has caught my attention, especially on the consumer end of information, is just how untrustworthy it can become when context is missing. That’s where I believe Trustpilot and similar services can do so much more for the consumer and sustainability at large. The role of a trusted intermediary today isn’t just to collect opinions — it’s to provide independent, transparent, and contextually reliable guidance that both consumers and companies can depend on. That’s pure social and sustainable responsibility in practice. Your global influence on purchasing decisions gives you an enormous opportunity — to evolve how trust itself is represented. 🔦 Here’s my sincere suggestion: → Make geographically based review segmentation the default setting. A single global trust score, while elegant, becomes increasingly irrelevant in a world of cross-border transactions. Legal systems, consumer protections, delivery standards, and support infrastructure vary drastically and changes rapidly from e.g. China to Europe to North America. The same company can offer excellent service locally yet not meet the expectations across borders internationally — and that difference matters deeply to consumers. Everything from terms of agreements to customer service. When ratings fail to reflect those differences, the result is often misleading. And being misleading — even unintentionally — I assume does not belong in Trustpilot’s DNA. By segmenting and weighting reviews geographically, you could present a truer picture of company performance, showing regional transparency and fairness. It would allow consumers to see how a business handles the realities of delivery, service, and support where they actually are. Trustpilot’s mission has always been to help consumers make confident choices I believe. This kind if development would strengthen that mission — making trust measurable, contextual, and globally relevant. I’d be happy to inspire this further with your brand, development or sustainability teams. Together, we can ensure that even in an AI-driven world, the human foundation of trust remains strong. Because no matter the business entity or end user — at the end of the day, it all comes down to human relations, reputation and loyalty to keep customers and business. Trust me - Every day we all together contribute to continually improving the tools that sustain trust and sustainability improves the world. This one is free - consider using it. Warm regards, Daniel Arenholm #trust #customerexperiance #sustinability #csr #loyalty #trustpilot

Everyone gets excited when the prototype works. The board is impressed. The team is energized. Then comes the question: “Why don’t we just build this ourselves?” That’s the trap. Because the demo was the easy 80%. It’s the last 20%—security, accuracy, scalability, maintenance, content updates, member trust—where budgets disappear and momentum dies. This blog breaks down the real cost of building versus buying an AI assistant for your association. If you’re at the “should we build this ourselves?” stage—read this before you decide. Ok, this is a long one. Sorry, not sorry. However, it is one of the most active conversations going on among Association AI working groups, Tech Committees; Leadership teams and the people we talk with every week. This conversations are daily for the Betty:AI right now as thousands of Associations approach finalizing their 2026 budgets wondering how much to invest in the AI that delivers real value at known costs. Hat tips to Jason Wampler, CAE, AAiP and Madhujith (Madhu) Hapuarachchi for their experience in navigating these conversations within their Associations.
