We did it! For the first time in history, this year UNV reached full gender parity among UN Volunteers. Great milestone - are there plans to track the forward careers within the UN of this cohort, to see if/how that equity transfers through to UNVs being able to launch successful careers in the system?

Excellent achievement! Would have liked to see that translate to 50-50 placement in DPKO field duty stations before the end of my assignment, but I’m optimistic the day will come! We were 2 women out of 20 UNVs when I started, and currently at 8 of 22, definitely on our way!
Just needs to be parity between vegans and meat eaters now
