I want to highlight that a divorce isn't the end of the world. There are plenty of guys and girls who would not have a problem with dating someone who is divorced. People make it seem like someone who is divorced is undesirable which is totally not true! Go get back out there!!!

Good morning

I divorced when I was 50. It’s definitely not the end of the world and there are many people out there in the same situation who want to date again. Good news. But…..there is always a but……being single after 50 can be a challenge. In our 20’s life was simpler and we didn’t have so many habits and routines. Over 50 and we’ve lived a lifetime, with another, and we have our ways of doing things. There can be trauma from those marriages we’ve left but whether there is or not there is always baggage. Getting therapy to have someone help you navigate that baggage and the eventual difficulties of a divorce is essential. Some do, some don’t. When we don’t it makes dating exponentially more difficult for those of us who have. That’s been the biggest issue I’ve run into.
