Taiwan NextGen Foundation’s Post

The greatest asset of Taiwan NextGen Foundation are our people. Today, we feature another new member of our think tank's staff. Ms. Ellie Koepplinger (柯蕾), a passionate economist and recent alumna of University of California, Berkeley, will join our Taipei office in October as a member of the inaugural cohort of NextGen Fellows. 歡迎柯蕾小姐加入我們的團隊! "Ellie Koepplinger recently graduated from UC Berkeley with an honors degree in Economics and Mandarin Chinese. During her time at Berkeley, she served as President of Underrepresented Minorities in Economics, as well as completed a senior thesis about the effects of banning affirmative action on Black college enrollment in California. While still an undergraduate, she took up internships at the AmCham Taipei, Patpatia & Associates Consulting, and Courtbuddy.com (a San Francisco-based legal-tech startup). She is also an alumna of Princeton University in Beijing’s Chinese summer immersion program. In her role as a Fellow at the Taiwan NextGen Foundation, she is excited to research the impact of bilingual education on job creation in Taiwan, as well as set up a podcast and short film series featuring NextGen collaborators. When she’s not working, you can find her baking sourdough bread or listening to Taiwanese music!"
