Looking forward to seeing robust attendance by Naval Aviation leaders at the CNAF DEI Summit this year! Interested in learning more about ALLY-ship? See item #3 below: Show up, be present, engaged and committed. See you in San Diego!
We are less than a month away from the second annual Commander, Naval Air Forces Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Summit! This year’s theme is ALLY-ship: All members of the Naval Aviation community bear the responsibility to consciously advocate for each other, embrace and support differences, and communicate respectfully to achieve the inclusion. Throughout the 2-day summit, our aviators will explore what being an Ally looks like, how to champion for those in minority groups, and steps we can ALL take to be an empowered Ally. Being an Ally can take many forms and anyone can be one. Here are four things you can do to be an Ally and advocate for others: 1) Ask others about their experiences; 2) Listen with empathy and seek to understand different perspectives; 3) Show up, be present, engaged and committed; 4) Speak up as an advocate. #FlyNavy #DiversityMatters
4) lead by example like you do, Sho ;-)
I like No. 3 too! #authenticity is 🔑 from a retiree perspective. Veronica Lawrence Ortega
Keep up the great work Sho!!!!
