That's how I learned to think about categorising AI use cases when I worked at Google. This year, it's become abundantly clear to me that benefits and risks, trust and transparency, don't mean a lot unless you start with an Ethical and Responsible AI decision making framework. Good conversations at AIQCon yesterday! My presentation was describing Enterprise AI Governance at a practical level - connecting the goals of oversight with particular steps. Two main points from the talk: 🔵 AI Governance is responsible for oversight. This is an orchestration role, integrating AI Development, MLOps, the regulatory/standards environment and business goals. 🔵 Governance should be contextualized by the impact & risk of the AI system. It doesn't always have to be "heavy". Governance resources should be judiciously allocated like any other resource to ensure safe and speedy innovation. Of course, tooling helps push the pareto frontier of "speed vs safety" to help you allocate governance resources efficiently and robustly.
