One year ago, we outlined new commitments to address racial inequity and injustice. Today, we’re sharing our progress across three focus areas – company culture, communities, and ecosystem – including how we’re increasing representation among managers and senior leaders.
I don't understand how color comes in while hiring . You pick the best one for the job irrespective of the color .you attend the interview and if the candidate does well pick them . if color is a problem then the person who hires must be caught
Great progress! Thanks for your continued commitment and action on a matter that does exist despite what others may not chose to look at more closely....being a POC and a woman, one has to walk a mile in my shoes to truly understand that companies may hire just to meet the bare minimum requirements for diversity. It still doesn't address 'inclusion' which is more of the problem as we are not asked to 'sit at the table' despite our experience, views and capability.
Love the progress here. So proud to work for this company
It should all be about qualifications, experience and how that person will fit the role, race or anything else should not be an influence. Although I must add that if hiring for a role such as customer services, the candidate must speak and understand English to a high standard
Equity audit could be a game-changer in terms of resetting professional relationships and when common good takes center stage in organisations, we might be able to unlock people's full potential.
Please consider increasing representation of inner city public school graduates in candidate pools. The inner city public school I attended failed students accross the board, regardless of race, although there were more minorities than the average. How are you supporting charter schools, school vouchers and other programs more successful at sending kids in inner city schools to college than public schools? Would you be willing to do more for minorities even if not politically popular or pushed by HR consultants? Less posing and more results with inner city education please.

Thank you! The nature of hearts and minds will not changed instantly in this area. However, earnest intentions with efforts like these are encouraging and help everyone realize people care and we're doing something to improve the situation. Again, thank you!
Hope we will expand to Indigenous peoples as well, which wasn't covered in this blog.
