When it comes to hybrid work, there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Today, we shared our latest Work Trend Index research and new product innovations to help people and organizations adapt to changing work norms.
Thanks for the share Satya Nadella, this is a great read. As companies across the globe navigate the uncertainties of our time, having the flexibility and adaptability to adjust their return to office strategy is going to be so critical in ensuring that they're able to weather this storm. In addition to considering a hybrid work model, which has its benefits and its challenges, organization's need to leverage technology that helps them work smarter, not harder. Tools such as workplace management solutions that are designed to help employees easily manage, book, and schedule workspaces are going to be a great asset for companies wanting to offer their employees flexibility through a hybrid work model. Ultimately, empowering your employees to work with some degree of flexibility is here to stay, there's no doubt about that. But, like many companies across the globe, we look forward to what the #futureofwork holds for us and others.
Happy to see some data in this controversy discussion. Looking forward to see hybrid work implemented and how employees benefit from flexibility. Sure they will value physical presence differently in the future.
Satya Nadella It’s a great approach to “lead with data and not dogma” when it comes to hybrid work. I have close family and friends who had to quit their jobs because the employer was not flexible. I know these people to be very professional and caring towards their work and it would have made zero difference in their productivity regardless of where they worked from. Needless to say they found new jobs with employers who cared more about getting the job done than the location of their employees. The irony is that the old employer could not fill the open positions and ended up hiring my friend on a part time contract at a higher rate and remote flexibility just to keep the company’s projects moving. So, yes. Today’s leaders need to be rational instead of being emotional because employees have plenty of choices out there.
Interesting - thank you for sharing. Technology can certainly help us navigate future workplace needs. That said, it's encouraging to see those polled think that in-person collaboration remains very important.
Really great post, thank you for posting this and the resources
A lot of us are experimenting with the hybrid workplace model. Combining remote work with office work will include the onsite presence of a skeletal staff, while others will be free to come and go. A very insightful blog by Microsoft that focuses on employees' needs and the opportunity to fit work around their lives.
Own improved version of the zoom. The first step towards a complete solution for the Hybrid Work. This hybrid operation data will help us understand the bottom line of the impact the platform has made. I am sure that a platform will soon appear that can replace personal collaboration. Offices and employees - all to the cloud. Who will it be? Google or a startup? Microsoft can't because it needs a very fresh perspective on the problem.
