The Radian engineering team recently collaborated with the United States Air Force Academy's Aeronautics Lab to conduct a series of wind tunnel tests. Our team is diligently optimizing design concepts for Radian One, leveraging a suite of computational analysis tools to develop aerodynamic data. We successfully executed a series of tests which are vital for informed design decisions, collecting insights across multiple vehicle concepts at speeds ranging from Mach 0.9 to Mach 3. Next up, we'll analyze the findings to continue improving our design for Radian One!

This is such a fascinating and incredible achievement. Through generative AI-design it may soon be possible to mass produce 3D-printed rocket engines catered to specific parameters like efficiency at certain altitudes, like somebody ordering a custom pizza online. I can’t wait to see the progress made with this. I envision this to be particularly useful for designing precoolers and complex HXs to allow for extremely fast and powerful air-breathing engines like we see under development at Reaction Engines Ltd.
Exciting news! 🚀 Our Aerospace team have collaborated with software start-up AI engineering company, LEAP71, and inventor Sam Rogers, to test fire the world's-first ‘AI designed’ 3D-printed rocket engine. This revolutionary way of designing rocket engines enabled the team to go from preliminary design to a fully manufactured rocket engine in a matter of weeks and the engine design worked first-time, undergoing a successful day's hot fire at Airborne Engineering in Wescott.
