𝗨𝗶𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝟳: 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲?
As UiPath Forward 7 kicks off in Las Vegas this week, many are eager to hear about the latest advancements in AI and automation, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐬𝐤 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: are we seeing true transformation, or just the next iteration? I personally was surprised to see UiPaths introduction of its use of Agentic tasks and processes. It certainly can be seen as undeniably exciting, and the promise of expanding automatable tasks by tenfold sounds groundbreaking, yet we’ve seen similar claims before. 𝐌𝐲 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜? 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫, 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞. Maybe let’s talk to #Gen3IA where Gen3 is Intelligent Automation and AI together, or show that with automation as the driving force. 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝, there’s a growing sense that businesses need more than just incremental improvements they need real disruption. Can UiPath deliver this level of innovation, or are we simply being asked to buy into the hype around AI agents and automated workflows that look suspiciously like repackaged RPA solutions?
Yes, the customizable learning tracks and high-profile speakers are appealing, but what businesses really need is more transparency around how these innovations will translate into measurable business outcomes. How will these so called breakthroughs meaningfully reduce complexity for organizations already struggling with digital transformation?
At the end of the day, adoption rates and true ease of use will be the test. The point here is not to come off as harsh or critical. 𝐇𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫, 𝐈𝐟 𝐰𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲, 𝐰𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲’𝐬 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬.
